Interesting short story! It's been a few days since I read it, so apologies if I got it wrong, but I think there were various grammatical errors, mixups in tenses, that disrupted the story in the reading. But you've mentioned the lack of proof-reading.

Had to laugh a bit at the Ravenclaw Harry, that one was really over the top. Too 'anal retentive', as the real Harry said. Bit of a chilling ending, though.

Pretty Decent! Good job. The Hufflepuff segment was a bit long on narrative by Sprout, but I'm not sure how you might have avoided that.

I think I liked the Ravenclaw segment best. It was a very fun way to exaggerate Hermione and see how annoying a Ravenclaw character could be when pushed to extremes.

A very well done story. A little sad but war is sad and so has Harry's life been. At least now he realizes that he is living the life he was meant to live and he needs his friends to succeed in his life's destiny. Very well done. Thank you for writing. pms

A fair blending of 'A Christmas Carol' and "It's a Wonderful Life', two of my favorite holiday movies (It has to be the Alastair Sims version, no other will do). Too bad you had to spoil it at the end with the Weaselette.

A nice little turning of the "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Christmas Carol" concepts to the HP universe.

If there is a characterisation error in this story, it is that you assume that the house defines the personality of the character. This is not as overwhelming a change as it could be. Harry might end up a little different in his methods if he were in one of the other houses but his upbrining defines his values and thus would modify how the different house viewpoints mould his personality.

However, to criticise your use of the cliche personality changes would be to forget that these are not alternate universes, the spirits were showing Harry archetypes of what his life could have been if it had taken a different course. He is being reminded that his choices define him and that a different path would not have solved any of the real problems caused by other people. He should worry less about what was and what could be and focus on ensuring that the future is what he wants it to be.

Overall an interesting and most enjoyable little parable of choices and natures.
